Pico buys a book, say what?

Today I bought a book. Now for most people who know me they would assume this is a normal occurrence in my life. However, I am a penny-pincher and don't really read too much besides the Bible or for school. But today I entered Barnes and Noble while trying to pass sometime and a book caught my eye, "You Can Read Anyone"--never be fooled, lied to, or taken advantage of again. The title and caption interested me for many reasons, but to say the least, it was an attractive title. For a split second I indulged and was like " I am getting this book! Man, I mean who wouldn't want to know how to read people? After all I interact with so many people on a daily basis and it talks about the psychology behind what is being said and what is not being said for lack of better terms"
(Instead of making a hasty decision and buying the book, I decided to give it a chance and start reading it to see if it seemed legitimate and if it was at the very least a good read. I sat down in a comfy chair in barnes and noble and started thumbing through it. At first I was content with my decision to not buy the book...but then I read some more and I was intrigued. I must have read 40 pages in less than an hour. I loved it! There are many reasons that I fell in love and consequently HAD to buy it. Mainly, through various techniques offered, it talks about people and how they operate...it gives suggestions in how to be a better communicator-through listening, watching, talking, body language etc. ( I would tell more but I don't want to give away all my secrets now do I?). I know that I have a love for people and want to better understand them...that understanding usually springs a better self-awareness. I want to be able to try to eliminate as many mistakes as possible by becoming a better "reader" of people. Of course, perfection is impossible, but I can try and learn lots of interesting facts about the human race and maybe save myself from making some mistakes:)
